About Jack

Jack is really a storyteller, international explorer, and humanitarian and everything else rolls out from there. As a writer, its what he does.  As a trial lawyer, its his most important tool.  As a former CIA officer, the only way to truly motivate people is to connect and to tell them a story that they can feel viscerally.  As a media analyst, what better way to make a point.  In the end, he tries to captivate his audience about the world and its people as much as he himself is captivated.

[Voice of America Intl. Edition] November 7th: Jack Talks Guns and the Law

I appear on Voice of America International Edition on November 7th. So a lot more information has come to light about the alleged shooter in the latest massacre, this one in Texas.  This man should not have had a weapon.  With issues of mental illness and domestic assault, certain people shouldn't have access but he was never on the data base excluding him.  A  big question like this needs to be address.

One question that keeps coming to mind is why.  Are Americans just more dangerous? Mentally ill? Crazy? What? In the end, the only real difference seems to be guns and a willingness to exclude those who shouldn't have them.  The U.S.s has 4% of the population and 46% of the guns. That means 10 times more than that which is found in the rest of the world.  How does that impact this issue.

This promises to be a very interesting conversation.
