About Jack

Jack is really a storyteller, international explorer, and humanitarian and everything else rolls out from there. As a writer, its what he does.  As a trial lawyer, its his most important tool.  As a former CIA officer, the only way to truly motivate people is to connect and to tell them a story that they can feel viscerally.  As a media analyst, what better way to make a point.  In the end, he tries to captivate his audience about the world and its people as much as he himself is captivated.

[WCCO Radio Minneapolis] May 16th: Jack Talks Trump's Leaking Intel to the Russians

I'm outraged!  The implications of releasing classified information can mean, simply put, torture and death for the source of the intelligence.  It can also mean a complete drying up of intelligence in the future.  Think about this for a second, what other asset is willing to provide information if they know that a sitting President will release it because he as the "absolute right" to do so?  Let's take this a step further, because this was a intelligence from an ally, not only will this ally but every other ally will look at this and think not just once, twice but maybe three times before they willingly cooperate with the Americans out of fear of what this President might do because he has the absolute right. Finally, consider U.S. intelligence in the same manner.  If I had recruited an asset, I'm not sure I would ask them for anything out of fear that the information itself may end up in the hands of the President.  Understand, in the past, this was always the hope.  If my intel ends of in the hands of the President, that means its important.  And now?  I'd be petrified.

This is just a snippet of what we talked about.  Lots of fun.
