I appear on AM 950 in Minneapolis on April 24th at 3:30 p.m. c.s.t. As the story of Trump and the Russians refuses to die, there are three ongoing investigations, the FBI, the House Intelligence Committee and the Senate Intelligence Committee. While the FBI investigation iis pretty veiled and difficult to figure out at this point, it is clear the the House Intelligence Committee is in turmoil and a political trainwreck Congressman Nunez has recused himself and the fingerpointing continues. That leaves the Senate Intelligence Committee.
At this point, Senator Burr's Chairmnaship of this Committee certainly has a lot of questions to answer. For instance, the Committee has interviewed nobody. In fact, they have subpoened nobody. Further, they have no fulltime staff investigating the matter and of the part time staff they do have, none of them have prosecutorial experience. None of them have investigative experience. And, none of them have intelligence experience. So, what exactly are they doing? At this rate, President Trump will be out of office before anybody even starts addressing the issue of whether or not he or his team colluded with the Russians.
Lets be clear, this is not fake news. U.S. intelligence has concluded that the Russians absolutely attempted to manipulate the Presidential election. We also know that the Russians were trying to help Trump. The only question is whether Trump actively or passively accepted that help. This is what we need to know.
This will be a fun interview.
