About Jack

Jack is really a storyteller, international explorer, and humanitarian and everything else rolls out from there. As a writer, its what he does. As a international human rights and criminal lawyer and trial skills teacher around the world, its his most important tool. As a former CIA officer, the only way to truly motivate people is to connect and to tell them a story that they can feel viscerally. As a media analyst, what better way to make a point.  In the end, he tries to captivate his audience about the world and its people as much as he himself is captivated.

[I24 International News] June 13th: Jack Pushes Back on Conspiracy Theories

This is going to be a really interesting conversation on I24 International News.  I will be debating somebody who I disagree with on many many levels.  While we will address the testimony of Jim Comey and the upcoming testimony of Jeff Sessions, it appears that this interview will spend a substantial amount of time addressing the question of whether the Russians attempted to hurt the U.S. and also whether this is really about the destruction of President Trump.

Let me be clear:  I have absolutely no desire to destroy this President.  That's not my job.  That being said, I also think that it is critical to understand exactly just how successful the Russians were at hacking into U.S. elections.  Further, it is critical to determine whether Trump and/or and member of his team, pre or post election, was complicit in helping the Russians.  If this results in the destruction of this Presidency, so be it.

This promises to be fun.  Watch if you can.

[NTV/HTB Moscow] May 11th: Jack Appears in Russian Documentary about Russia/Trump

A crazy evening being in a Russian documentary by NTV/HTB out of Moscow about the Russia/Trump investigation. And yes, Russia is involved.

[Nicole Sandler Show - Florida] May 12th: Jack Talks Whether Trump Could be Impeached

I appear on the Nicole Sandler Show out of Florida to discuss a simple question:  Could President Trump be impeached?  And the short answer is, it depends.  The first question is whether he has committed any crimes that could justify removal.  Well, I would have said this was debatable until a recent interview the president had an NBC.  In that interview, he stated that one of the reasons that he fired former FBI Director Jim Comey was because of the ongoing Russia investigation which he claims to consider fake news.  Regardless of what he says, this is a real investigation into criminal wrongdoing.  Anybody who tries to hinder that, a sitting President or otherwise, is potentially guilty of a crime.  Presidents can be removed from office for committing crimes through the process called impeachment. The next step, of course, would require a political process to make that happen.  But, because the Republicans control both Houses of Congress, this is a stumbling block.  We will discuss all of this and more.

Hope you can listen.

[KGO San Francisco] May 11th: Jack Talks Trump's Shifting Truth Regarding Comey Firing

I appear on KGO with Chip Franklin on May 11th at 7:30 p.m. e.s.t.  The more we "know" about the Comey firing, the stranger it gets. Are we on the 3rd or 4th justification yet?

First, It was AG and Deputy who advised firing Comey and that Trump only followed their advice. Of course, AG already recused himself from Russian investigation who then advised President to fire guy responsible for investigation? Then it was all Trump and not those guys at all. Wait. What?

Then, It was because of Clinton emails back in 2016 and not about now. Then it was his behavior now. It's because he's a grandstander. This is all from the same people saying this including POTUS.

Then, It was because the FBI was in disarray. However, the new acting FBI Dir rejected that during testimony today.

Then Trump said Comey told Trump three times he wasn't under investigation. Everybody, everybody, said a sitting FBI director would never say that about an ongoing investigation.

I'm starting to wonder if it would be better if we just sent somebody into the WH to sing to Trump, Wheels on the Bus, everyday to keep him busy.

This is going to be interesting.

[Russia TV Moscow] May 10th: Jack Talks Comey Firing

I appear on Russian TV to talk about President Trump's firing on FBI Director Jim Comey.  I made the decision to appear on Russian TV because the Russians absolutely played a role in this.  Trump orginally tried to argue that this was about Comey's work on the Clinton emails.  That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever and there is simply no justifiable way to explain this.  So, to put it simply, it is false.  There must be another reason and the only obvious answer in the Russians.  Yes, the potential connection between the Russia and Trump is the elephant or bear in the room.  This issue needs to be determined.

Hope you can watch.

[WCCO Radio Minneapolis] May 9th: Jack Talks Trump Firing Comey

I appear on WCCO Radio in Minneapolis with my friend John Williams.  Pres. Trump's decision to fire FBI Director Jim Comey is an astounding move.  The WH claims it was based upon email accounts used by Hillary Clinton when she was Secretary of State.  However, this doesn't seem to make a lot of sense based upon timing and what Trump has said previously.  Its an amazing story and promises to stay in the news cycle for a long time.  This may even result in a special prosecutor to address the Russia Trump connectionl

Hope you can listen.
