About Jack

Jack is really a storyteller, international explorer, and humanitarian and everything else rolls out from there. As a writer, its what he does. As a international human rights and criminal lawyer and trial skills teacher around the world, its his most important tool. As a former CIA officer, the only way to truly motivate people is to connect and to tell them a story that they can feel viscerally. As a media analyst, what better way to make a point.  In the end, he tries to captivate his audience about the world and its people as much as he himself is captivated.

[Press TV Iran] June 15th: Judge Orders Mueller to Prison

I appear on Press TV Iran on June 15th.  Paul Manafort is in a world of trouble. He has been charged with a whole series of things that could put him in prison for life. Further, a Judge has just ordered him back into custody for additional obstruction and tampering with witness charges.  This despite already posting $10 million in bail.  The real question of course is what comes next.  His right hand man, a former Russian intelligence operative was also charges and there are multiple people who have already agreed to cooperate to help the prosecution.  As I said, this is getting ugly for Mr. Manafort.

This will be interesting.

[WKBK New Hampshire] November 1st: Jack Talks Latest Terrorist Incident

I appear on WKBK New Hampshire with my old friend Dan Mitchell. This was an interesting conversation because rather than talk about a lot of hypotheticals and things we simply didn't have the answer to, I talk about about Uzbekistan and history in the former Southern Republics of the Soviet Union. Considering how many of the Muslim communities have been targeted in some of these countries in the past and also their general lack of opportunities, some of these areas have perfect environments for creating terrorists.

This is a smart show that digs deeper into complex issues and I always enjoy it.

[WKBK Appearance] Monday, June 2nd: Jack Talks Terrorism and Bergdahl

I appear on WKBK out of Keene, NH with Dan Mitchell on Monday, June 2nd.  Bowe Bergdahl was just released from captivity in Afghanistan.  Of course, we traded five Taliban fighters for him.  If we don't negotiate with terrorists, is there a way to reconcile this?  I care a lot less about the politics behind it and why this party is right and this party is wrong.  I'm far more interested in the ramifications.

This is going to be fun!

[WKBK Appearance] Wednesday, June 22nd: Jack Talks Law and Afghanistan Pullout

I appear on WKBK's Dan Mitchell Show on Wednesday, June 22nd at 8 a.m. c.t.  President Obama is preparing to withdraw around 35,000 troops from Afghanistan.  What is the significance for national security and will this be enough for his base?  Further, what are the political consequences of such a withdrawal.

An interesting conversation.

On the Air with Dan Mitchell on WKBK.

I'm a big fan of Dan Mitchell on WKBK.  We were talking about Afghanistan and my recent trip into the region.  I expect to do an extended one hour interview with him next week to talk about what comes next.  Should be a lot of fun!

Hope you can catch it.
