About Jack

Jack is really a storyteller, international explorer, and humanitarian and everything else rolls out from there. As a writer, its what he does.  As a trial lawyer and trial skills teacher aroud the world, its his most important tool. As a former CIA officer, the only way to truly motivate people is to connect and to tell them a story that they can feel viscerally.  As a media analyst, what better way to make a point.  In the end, he tries to captivate his audience about the world and its people as much as he himself is captivated.

[KNUS Denver] February 8th: How Do You Protect the Olympics From Terrorists?

I appear on KNUS Denver with my buddy Steffan Tubbs on February 8th. The Olympics taking place in PyeongChang, South Korea. Every Olympics can be a challenge from a security perspective but if you are only miles away from one of the most volatile countries on the planet, North Korea, the challenge can be especially dicey.

The South Koreans are deploying more than 50,000 soldiers and another 10,000 civilian security personnel. It certainly doesn't end there.  Other countries have also added security expertise.  The Central Intelligence Agency, the Transportation Security Administration and the State Department have also added components.  Others, including the Israelis are certainly going to have some of their own security.

This will be an interesting conversation.

I appear on NBC Affiliate Kare 11 with Lauren Leamanczyk on August 18th to talk about the recent Brazilian indictments of U.S. Olympians Ryan Lochte and James Feigen.  We will talk about the possible charges and about the extradition treaty between the United States and Brazil.
