About Jack

Jack is really a storyteller, international explorer, and humanitarian and everything else rolls out from there. As a writer, its what he does.  As a trial lawyer, its his most important tool.  As a former CIA officer, the only way to truly motivate people is to connect and to tell them a story that they can feel viscerally.  As a media analyst, what better way to make a point.  In the end, he tries to captivate his audience about the world and its people as much as he himself is captivated.

[RT America] August 24th: Jack Talks Trump and Pakistan

I appear on RT America on August 24th to talk Pakistan. Why Pakistan you ask?  Simply, Mr. Trump recently seemed to place the blame on the U.S.'s inability to deal with Afghanistan in the lap of Pakistan and Pakistan is pushing back. Now, let's be clear, there are no simple answers and Pakistan absolutely bears some responsilibity for what is going on in Afghanistan and even for America's failure. However, even Pakistan couldn't take Afghanistan if it wanted to.  In fact, nobody has ever been able to take the country for many different reasons.  One of the first is that it is a country in name only.  Secondly, the people of Afghanistan have never seen themselves as such.  In addition, the current regime "in control", and I use that term very loosely, is incompetent and corrupt.  Frankly, the list goes on and on and on.

This should be an interesting conversation and I truly relish the opportunity.  Hope you can catch it.

[RT Appearance] Monday, July 9th. Jack Talks International Law and War

I appear on RT TV on July 9th at 6 p.m. e.t.  We will look at Pakistan, Libya, Syria and elsewhere as well as President Obama's Targeted Killing Program.  There are real questions as to where we go and what the laws should be, let alone the question of transparency and what we as a society should know.

Hope you can watch.

[RT Appearance] Friday, March 30th: Jack Talks International Law and U.S. Drone Attacks

I appear on RT TV on March 30th at 6 p.m. e.t.  Since President Obama took office, U.S. drone attacks have increased dramatically.  We have seen far more in Afghanistan and Pakistan but we also have seen dramatic increases in Yemen and even Somalia.  There are even reports of civilian usage within the United States. What is the impact of such usage and is there a downside?

Hope you can catch it.

[RT Appearance] Monday, September 26th: Jack Talks Law and Why We Fund Those We Fight

I appear on RT TV on Monday, September 26th at 6:30 p.m. e.t.  It seems that America has a tendency of fighting organizations and countries that we have previously funded.  Think about it.  It has happened in Central America.  It has happened again and again in the Middle East.  And most recently, Afghanistan.  Now the focus is shifting to Pakistan.  Are we going to do it again?

This should be an interesting conversation.  Hope you can watch.

[CNN Appearance] Tuesday, May 3rd. Talk on Intelligence, Law and bin Laden

I appear on CNN's The Elliot Spitzer Show on Tuesday, May 3rd.  So exactly how did the Intelligence Community and Special Forces do the operation that killed Osama bin Laden?  I am going to do through this step by step, from Eastern Europe, to Gitmo, to Afghanistan and Pakistan as to what happened, might have happened and should have happened.  This is going to be interesting.

Hope you can watch.

[Al Jazeera Appearance] Saturday, January 9th: Talk on CIA Letter and Video

I appear on Al Jazeera on Satudary, January 9th at 1:30 p.m. e.t.  CIA Director Leon Panetta wrote an open letter defending the CIA after 7 officers were killed in Afghanistan.  Also, the Taliban in Pakistan released a video of the man apparently responsible for killing those same officers.  I will talk about what both mean and how the Americans may respond.

Hope you can watch.
