About Jack

Jack is really a storyteller, explorer, and humanitarian and everything else rolls out from there. As a writer, its what he does.  As a trial lawyer, its his most important tool.  As a former CIA officer, the only way to truly motivate people is to connect and to tell them a story that they can feel viscerally.  As a media analyst, what better way to make a point.  In the end, he tries to captivate his audience about the world as much as he himself is captivated.

[KOA Denver] March 21st: Jack Talks Trump Russian Intel. Investigation

I appear on KOA in Denver on 3/21 at 6 am cst to discuss FBI & NSA testimony before Congressional Committee regarding Russian/Trump links. This ongoing conversation continues to dog the Trump administration.  It is certainly a distraction but the question is, is it more than that.  Is there fire where there is so much smoke.

This is going to fun. Steffan Tubbs is one of my favorite people.

[AM950 Minneapolis] March 20th: Jack Talks Intel Investigations re. Trump and Russia

I appear on AM 950 in Minneapolis today at 4:05 p.m. c.s.t to discuss Director Comey's and Admiral Rogers' testimony before Congress. This is quite extraordinary.  Both actually admitted that there was nothing behind President Trump's claims regarding President Obama.  Let me say that again.  This was a lie.  Seriously, this is extraordinary.  In addition, the idea that there is an ongoing investigaiton of the Trump team and Russia is actually mindboggling.

This is going to be good.

[AM 950 Minneapolis] January 12th: Jack Talks Russian Hacking and Trump

I appear on AM 950 in Minneapolis with my buddy Matt McNeil to discuss the latest on 17 U.S. Intelligence organizations all coming together to determine that the Russians not only attmepted to hack U.S. websites but attempted to impact the elections and that Putin himself was orchestrating the operation.  It is an extraordinary story and one we will continue to follow.

Hope you can catch it.

[WTOP Radio Appearance] July 8th: Talk on Law and Russian Spies

I appear on WTOP Radio in Washington DC on July 8th at 8:30 p.m. e.t.  With 10 Russian spies being and convicted and promptly sent back to Russia, along with 4 Russians being sent to the U.S., it represents the largest spy swap since the Cold War.  In fact, it feels very Cold War-esque.  However, there are a lot of reasons that this is taking place.  I will talk about the legal ramifications as well as the intelligence ramifications.

Hope you can catch it.

[Podcast] The Obama/Medvedev Agreement is Signed. Will It Make a Difference?

President Obama and Russian President Medvedev signed an historic agreement today to shrink our nuclear stockpiles as well as delivery systems.  This does appear to make us safer.  However, tensions continue between the two powers and both seem to be driven by different things.

Because of this ongoing confusion, I want to turn to a true expert on the topic, Dr. Samuel Charap on the Center for American Progress.  Dr. Charap holds a doctorate in political science from Oxford, was a Marshall Scholar and a Fulbright Scholar.  He also has spent a substantial amount of time living and traveling throughout the region.

Listen to Jack's Interview with Russian Expert Dr. Samuel Charap.

Is Obama's Multilateralism Working with Iran? Jack on MSNBC.

President Obama and the rest of the Security Council have finally boxed Iran into a corner.  The Iranians have already invited the UN to look at this nuclear facility in Qom.  However, more importantly, it appears that the Russian may agree to sanctions if the Iranians don't come to the table.  This leaves the Chinese . . . They do not want to stand alone with the Iranians.  This is the power of multilateralism.

I appear on MSNBC tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m. to talk about it.
