About Jack

Jack is really a storyteller, international explorer, and humanitarian and everything else rolls out from there. As a writer, its what he does.  As a trial lawyer and trial skills teacher aroud the world, its his most important tool. As a former CIA officer, the only way to truly motivate people is to connect and to tell them a story that they can feel viscerally.  As a media analyst, what better way to make a point.  In the end, he tries to captivate his audience about the world and its people as much as he himself is captivated.

[WCCO Radio Minneapolis] May 16th: Jack Talks Trump's Leaking Intel to the Russians

I'm outraged!  The implications of releasing classified information can mean, simply put, torture and death for the source of the intelligence.  It can also mean a complete drying up of intelligence in the future.  Think about this for a second, what other asset is willing to provide information if they know that a sitting President will release it because he as the "absolute right" to do so?  Let's take this a step further, because this was a intelligence from an ally, not only will this ally but every other ally will look at this and think not just once, twice but maybe three times before they willingly cooperate with the Americans out of fear of what this President might do because he has the absolute right. Finally, consider U.S. intelligence in the same manner.  If I had recruited an asset, I'm not sure I would ask them for anything out of fear that the information itself may end up in the hands of the President.  Understand, in the past, this was always the hope.  If my intel ends of in the hands of the President, that means its important.  And now?  I'd be petrified.

This is just a snippet of what we talked about.  Lots of fun.

[WCCO Radio Appearance] September 2nd: Jack Talks Criminal Law and Joe Senser

I appear on WCCO Radio's John Williams Show on September 2nd.  Joe Senser's vehicle may be involved in a hit and run which resulted in the death of somebody.  There is a lot of questions about what comes next. What could happen?  Who could be charged?  Does Joe have to testify against his wife?  How bad could this get?

As a criminal defense attorney, this should be a lot of fun.  As a former host on WCCO Radio, this feels a little bit like old home week.  I expect it will be an interesting conversation as John is a really smart guy.

Hope you can listen.

I Appear on WCCO Radio in Minneapolis This Sunday.

This should be interesting this weekend.  I'm appearing on WCCO Radio in Minneapolis at 7:30 p.m. central time to talk about the Mexican Drug wars and how these drug cartels are reaching into the U.S. and extending their operations here.

There is an additional element to this interview that should be fun.  I used to work for WCCO Radio for more than five years and many of these people are my friends.  In addition, I have a very warm spot in my heart for the people of the Twin Cities.   I graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School, I met my wife there, and all of my children were bon there.  I'm really looking forward to this conversation.

Hope you can listen.
